Greetings,

This has been a productive, effective, and influential year for the men of Phi Beta Sigma at Clark Atlanta University. Through our Chapter’s personal goal of educating the community through innovative programming, we have changed the lives of students and civilians of the Atlanta- Metropolitan area. We have developed a reputation for our persistence with this goal; regardless of the number in attendance or purpose for inquiry, we offer fully developed, interactive and dynamic events. In our progress, we have also ensured that we reached back to bring the next generation up with us through numerous elementary to high school visits, either teaching or mentoring.

Our chapter continues to promote the spirit of brotherhood, not only with one another, but with the other organizations on campus as well. As such, we have worked collaboratively with the NAACP, National Council for Negro Women, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the African American Studies Society. These bonds have allowed us to reach more people through networking and a combination of talents.

Psi Chapter has also added six  brilliant young mean to our wondrous band this year. They all show a passion for scholarship and love of the fraternity that will behoove not only the chapter in the immediate future, but whatever graduate chapters they choose to join upon graduation. This passion that they share with us is exemplified in the James Weldon Johnson Scholarship that our chapter has created and awarded, as well as the Miss Phi Beta Sigma Scholarship pageant. We are in attendance every year at our advising chapter’s annual scholarship banquet. I believe that the future will show continued prosper and growth for Psi Chapter and for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated as a whole. May Our Cause Speed On Its Way.

Fraternally Yours,

Bro. Leon Valentine, President
